Cyara alternatives for testing phone numbers and IVRs
Choose Cyara, Klearcom or VistaCX if you need to test numbers in many countries, or the whole customer journey across voice, chat and digital channels. Choose Monitor if your circuits are SIP trunks and 0800, 0300 and 4004 numbers, and you want a service managed by 2N5, in Portuguese or English, with email and SMS alerts that keep going until someone takes ownership.

What are the alternatives to Cyara?
The three closest are Klearcom, Infovista’s VistaCX Watch, and 2N5’s Monitor. Spearline is not on the list as a separate company: its number testing, which dials from servers inside each country and measures the audio with PESQ, is now part of Cyara. All four place real test calls. They differ in reach, in how they measure voice, and in who runs the service.
| Cyara | Klearcom | VistaCX Watch | Monitor | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Real test calls | Yes | Yes, in-country | Yes | Yes |
| Voice quality | PESQ | NVQA, no reference file | Quality scores; method not confirmed | MOS-LQO with ViSQOL, against the reference |
| Confirms before alerting | Not confirmed | Yes, with human verification | Not confirmed | Yes, four failures in a row by default |
| Alerts | Real time; shares via Slack and email; integrates with PagerDuty | Real time; channels not confirmed | SMS and email | Email and SMS, in tiers, until someone acknowledges |
| Who runs it | Self-service | Platform with human triage | The customer builds the scripts | 2N5, as a managed service |
| Published pricing | No | No | No | No |
When is Cyara the right choice?
When the operation is global and goes beyond voice. Cyara states a presence in more than 145 countries and 420 carriers, tests voice, chat, SMS, email and web, runs load tests, and integrates with Genesys, NICE, AWS, ServiceNow and PagerDuty. For a contact center with numbers in dozens of countries, that reach counts for a lot.
What does Klearcom offer?
Testing of toll and toll-free numbers from inside each country, with several local carriers: Klearcom states 340+ carriers in 100+ countries. It measures audio MOS with its NVQA algorithm, with no PESQ file needed, maps and transcribes IVRs in more than 100 languages and, before alerting, repeats tests in batches and has a person verify the failure. In a news post dated 2025-02-24, it names Brazil among the markets where it added carriers. Pricing is not published.
And VistaCX Watch?
It is the monitoring product in Infovista’s VistaCX family. It places synthetic test calls and digital interactions from the public network through to the IVR and AI agents, with scheduling every two minutes, voice quality scores, and acoustic fingerprinting to check the IVR prompts. It alerts by SMS and email, and the customer builds their own test scripts. Pricing is not published.
Where does Monitor fit?
In companies that need to prove their SIP trunks, 0800, 0300 and 4004 numbers and extensions are up, without building anything. It is a managed service: 2N5 registers each circuit, proves it with a real call, and records the reference greeting. Every call is judged on whether it was answered, on audio in both directions, on the right prompt, and on MOS-LQO. A confirmed failure escalates by email and SMS, tier by tier, until someone takes ownership, and every month an SLA report arrives with the 12-month figure, in Portuguese or English. See 0800 and IVR monitoring and how it works.
If you need to test numbers in many countries, or digital channels such as chat, the other three were built for that.
How much does each one cost?
None of the four publishes a price. Cyara and VistaCX lead to a sales contact, Klearcom says “Let’s Talk Pricing” and says you pay only for the tests you run, and Monitor sends a proposal after a demo on your own numbers. See how to buy and other comparisons.

Frequently asked questions
Is Spearline still an alternative to Cyara?
Not as a separate company: Spearline's number testing, which dials from servers inside each country and measures the audio with PESQ, is now part of Cyara. The acquisition date was not confirmed on Cyara's website. In practice, anyone looking at Spearline is evaluating Cyara, and the alternatives are the same ones on this page.
Does Klearcom also confirm the failure before alerting?
Yes. Klearcom says it repeats tests in batches and has a person verify the failure in-country, with local carriers, before alerting with the test CDRs. Monitor repeats the call, and only consecutive failures, four by default, open an incident. Both avoid false alarms; they get there differently.
Do any of them test numbers in Brazil?
Klearcom names Brazil among the markets where it added carriers, in a news post dated 2025-02-24; which carriers, and whether it covers 0800 numbers from inside Brazil, was not confirmed. For Cyara and VistaCX, Brazil was not confirmed on the pages we read. Monitor calls 0800, 0300, 4004 and landline numbers, with any carrier.
